Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette Review and HD Swatches on Black Skin

Hi all!

I have sat down and done nothing but swatch eyeshadows on my hand. I've swatched the Too Faced Chocolate Bar palette and the Urban Decay Vice 4 palette. I've been meaning to review these palettes for weeeeeeeks.

I've wanted the Too Faced Chocolate Bar palette for AGES. I watched an obscene amount of Youtube videos and searched for blog posts with really good swatch photos. At the time the Semi Sweet palette was also out and I had a hard time deciding between the two.

I'm sure I'm not the only one (please tell me I'm not) who makes numerous wish lists of all the beauty/skincare/haircare stuff she wants to buy and then repeatedly checks said list to see if any of the prices have come down. Well, I was checking out my Debenhams wish list and noticed that the Chocolate Bar palette was £30 and a few pennies down from £39. Obviously, I purchased it at lightning speed as well as my first bottle of makeup setting spray (Urban Decay's All Nighter).

L-R Hazelnut, Salted Caramel, Gilded Ganache

L-R Creme Brulee, Marzipan, White Chocolate

L-R Black Forest Truffle, Strawberry Bon Bon, Cherry Cordial

L-R Milk Chocolate, Semi Sweet, Haute Chocolate

L-R  Amaretto, Triple Fudge, Candied Violet, Champagne Truffle

The Two Faced Chocolate Bar palette is so good! This blog post is going to be buzzword heavy but there are no other words to use but PIGMENTED, PIGMENTED AND PIGMENTED! I've worn these eyeshadows without a primer and they haven't creased, they've been long lasting and the palette smells delicious. All that cocoa. *Sings* I'm in love with the cocoa.

What I really love are how all the colours compliment each other, there's a nice mix of matte, shimmer and glitter shades and two really pretty shades that can be used to highlight the inner corners of your eyes.
I wore Creme Brulee to a party for the first time and the pigmentation blew me away. Creme Brulee's swatch is featured in the second photo :)

The shadows that I haven't got on well with are featured in the second to last photo. Milk Chocolate and Semi Sweet. As you can see they didn't swatch well on my hand or have the strongest pigmentation which was a little disappointing but it's no big deal as the rest of the palette is 10/10.

My favourites are Creme Brulee, Black Forest Truffle, Triple Fudge and Gilded Ganache. I haven't worn all of the shadows yet but I will definitely be posting some looks with this palette soon!

I would recommend this palette 100%. Cruelty free, super pigmented, smells amazing, long lasting, blends so beautifully. You cannot go wrong with this palette. The next one I'm coveting hardcore is Too Faced's Peach Palette. I'm not sure if we're getting it in the UK but I really hope we will!!

Let me know what you think of the Too Faced Chocolate Bar palette :)
